ZNY Operational Information System (OIS):

The ZNY OIS provides real-time, up to the minute information about ZNY and partner ARTCC traffic management initiatives; including ground delay programs, ground stops, general airport delay information, in-trail restrictions, reroutes, and deicing operations. This system was designed to be used during periods of high traffic density and severe weather operations. ZNY controllers will monitor this system in order to help efficiently balance demand and capacity. Pilots and dispatchers are also encouraged to monitor the OIS.

New York Area Hotline:

The New York Area Hotline provides rapid communication between neighboring air traffic facilities, virtual airlines, and other virtual aviation interests during events when complex air traffic and airspace issues are being managed. During events the Hotline will allow many participants the capability to problem-solve complicated issues and reduce the amount of coordination needed to implement collaborated strategies. The New York Area Hotline will be operationally maintained by the Traffic Management Unit (TMU) at the New York Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) and may be initiated at the request of the New York ARTCC TMU and other facilities or aviation entities that substantiate its use.

More information may be found in the ZNY Traffic Management Unit SOP.

If you have any questions or would like to participate in or use the Hotline please contact the the New York ARTCC Traffic Management Coordinator.
